“Let You Go” is a break-up song about the pain of being left and not understanding why. The story is told from the point of view of someone who is deeply hurt and confused, even after time passing, focused only on the loss and the longing, unable to look inward and see the mistakes that may have pushed love away.

The song is built around acoustic guitar with a steady rhythm and a warm, intimate sound. A strong, clear vocal reflects the narrator’s belief that things should still be simple and that they should still be together. Rooted in modern folk and folk-rock, Let You Go will appeal to fans of Bright Eyes, The Magnetic Fields, and Neutral Milk Hotel. 💔

Danish solo artist Dan Rose: "The title of the EP is a friendly nod and dedication to the legendary venue The Bitter End in New York's East Village, where the likes of Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger and Jackson Browne used to perform. The heart of this EP was written in venues and bars in New York, and local artist Awkward Marina, which I saw perform at The Bitter End, even gets at mention at the top of 'The Bench In The Secret Gardens'; a song about having hope for a more positive direction for the climate debate. Another song, "Don't Be An Asshole", was written after a night out at the bar and concert venue Arlene's Grocery on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Behind the bar was a sign that said "don't be an asshole with the tips". Caring reaps benefits for everyone and in this song I compare it to taking care of our planet before it's too late, before the final bill has to be paid."
